This is the 60ml bottle of Platinum Classic Sepia Black iron gall fountain pen ink with a built-in reservoir for easy filling. The color will darken on the page within the first 24 hours after writing, even as soon as one hour later you may see a difference.

This is a water-soluble ink made by blending ingredients derived from plats such as tea-leaves with iron. It penetrates the paper and solidifies due to oxidation; therefore, it is suitable for archival type work with documents as it is highly resistant to light and water.

Due to its unique properties, the ink colour that is bright when you start writing becomes gradually darker as it oxidezes with time, which lets you enjoy the progression of colour changes.

This is an ink made from iron salts and tannic acids. Though quite permanent and waterproof, these inks are typically known for causing chemical corrosion to metal pen parts (especially the nib) and should be used sparingly or with less-valuable pens.

PLATINUM PEN COMPANY

Established in 1919 by Syunchi Nakata, Platinum Pen Co. is renowned as a manufacturer of fine fountain pens, but is relatively unknown in the West. Platinum is closely related to the legendary Nakaya fountain pen brand, where some of the finest fountain pens in the world are created. This expertise also goes into Platinum's own line of fine writing instruments, and there are few pens with the nib quality to match the Platinum #3776 for example. Platinum now manufactures a huge range of writing instruments from maki-e fountain pens to hi-tech pencils, rollerballs and ballpoints.
