Uni Kuru Toga Roulette is a quality upgraded version of the fantastic Kuru Toga self-sharpening mechanical pencil. With a full metal nose cone and a knurled grip for added precision and professional finish, this is the Rolls Royce of mechanical pencils.

About Kuru Toga

With standard mechanical pencils, as you write the pencil lead is worn down until it is a slanted surface. Each time you write you will get a different experience depending on how the pencil is rotated. This can cause multiple annoyances.

There's a real problem that affects almost all mechanical pencils. As you use a regular mechanical pencil, the lead wears down on one side, forming a slanted wedge-shaped tip. Each time you put the lead to the page you end up using a different lead surface (pointy, flat, wide, thin) depending on how you hold the pencil. This can cause dramatic and unsightly variations in line thickness as you write or draw.

The Kuru Toga eliminates this problem with the use of an ingenious lead rotation mechanism that continually rotates the pencil lead as you write. A spring-loaded clutch twists the lead incrementally every time you lift the pencil from the paper. This allows a uniform wearing of the lead to create a conical tip shape that provides a fine, consistent line.

About Uni Mitsubishi

The Uni Mitsubishi Pencil Company of Japan is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Originally established in 1925, it has become one of the largest pen and pencil makers in the world. Uni's corporate philosophy is "the best quality is the best service."

Uni has produced some highly popular product lines over the years. The Jetstream ballpoint and multi-pen lines are known for their smooth-flowing ink. The Signo Bit UM-201 gel ink pens are hailed as the world's thinnest gel ink pens. The Signo Broad UM-513 white colour gel ink pen has become an absolute must-have light-colour ink pen by scrapbookers. The Kuru Toga auto lead rotation mechanical pencils keep the lead tip sharpened as the lead is consumed. Last but not the least, the Alpha Gel ballpoint and mechanical pencil series use soft silicone gel on their grips to reduce writing fatigue.
