The body of this Platinum #3776 Century Limited Edition Oshino fountain pen, which is transparent like clear waters, matches perfectly with any ink color. It features a rhodium-plated 14k gold nib and comes with a Platinum ink cartridge to get your started. Its fine nib is great for everyday writing and drawing.

Launched in 2011 as the first edition of the Fuji Five Lake series, "Motosu", with its completely transparent body, has drawn a great attention. Seven years since its launch, Platinum is now introducing "Oshino", which has a clear body of a higher level of transparency. Created by pursuing a transparency like clear waters, this new fountain pen has been named after Oshino Hakkai, which is a famous destination for the beautiful springs sourced from the underground water of Mount Fuji. Platinum is proud to add this product to their #3776 Century series that bears the height of Mount Fuji in its name.

A special part with a motif of Mount Fuji is placed at the crown of the pen. In addition, a method of etching is applied to the cap ring to provide a three-dimensional effect, which makes the pen even more precious.

The #3776 "Century" Fountain Pen has all the qualities that make for the ideal contemporary fountain pen. Sleek design, comfortable writing balance, smooth flow, and fast-drying ink... At the request of customers, Platinum Pen have gone back to the basics to address these issues. Every part and mechanism has been carefully studied and re-engineered.

The innovative cap on the 3776 contains a unique "Slip & Seal" mechanism that prevents ink from drying out in the pen even through extended periods of non use for up to a year. Meanwhile, a newly redesigned nib and feed regulate the ink flow.

One ink cartridge is included. Ink converter sold separately.

PLATINUM PEN COMPANY
Established in 1919 by Syunchi Nakata, Platinum Pen Co. is renowned as a manufacturer of fine fountain pens, but is relatively unknown in the West. Platinum is closely related to the legendary Nakaya fountain pen brand, where some of the finest fountain pens in the world are created. This expertise also goes into Platinum's own line of fine writing instruments, and there are few pens with the nib quality to match the Platinum #3776 for example. Platinum now manufactures a huge range of writing instruments from maki-e fountain pens to hi-tech pencils, rollerballs and ballpoints.

PLATINUM 3776 FOUNTAIN PENS
The original #3776 series was designed by the late writing expert Haruo Umeda, known as "Mr.Fountain Pen," along with the design team at Platinum Pen Company. Their aim was simple- to create the ideal fountain pen.
The #3776 was made available to the public beginning in 1978. After just six months, over 150,000 pens had been sold, and its popularity has been maintained ever since. #3776 expresses the height in meters of Mt. Fuji, the highest and most beautiful peak in Japan.

The Platinum pen company has continued to redesign and improve on what was already a classic design. They made several samples of a nib and feeder according to 40,000 samples of writing data
. From 2009 to 2011, they updated almost all machineries for making fountain pens and have made a new mold for not only a feeder and a nob, but also all parts of the new ''Century''. The ''Century'' is an entirely new fountain pen, new design, new machineries and new mold.
