The TWSBI Classic Fountain pen is an exceptional, value for money piston filing fountain pen. The pen has a classic look with some really fetching color profiles. The chrome accents and smooth octagon shape give the whole pen a bit of a vintage feel. The bottom chrome of the piston knob is etched with "TWSBI Classic" and the finial has the red TWSBI logo.

The TWSBI Classic features a German Jowo #4 nib which is smooth, has really consistent quality and follows the European style nib widths with a TWSBI nib comparing in size to German Lamy for example.

TWSBI's belief is that it is important to allow the user to disassemble and reassemble the pen and completely experience the traditional aspects of owning and using a fountain pen. Hence, these pens come packaged with a wrench and silicone grease. Neither of these accessories are intended to be used immediately, as they are for long-term care and maintenance. Additionally, please use extra care if you choose to disassemble the nib and feed, as the feed is very fragile. Pleae folow the instructions that accompany the pen.

TWSBI

Inspired by writing

After 50 plus years as an OEM manufacturer for different global brands, Ta Shin Precision decided to start selling under their own brand, and thus TWSBI was born.

TaShin Precision has over 50 years of experience in manufacturing with plastics and metals. Early products ranged from toy lego parts to high end writing instruments. This knowledge trickles down into every product TWSBI has to offer.

TWSBI's name stands for the phrase "Hall of Three Cultures" or "San Wen Tong" in Chinese. The character "Wen" translates into language and culture. The phrase "San Wen Tong" also brings to mind the Hall of the Three Rare Treasures created by Emperor Qianlong as a memorial to three great masterpieces of Chinese calligraphy. The initials of the phrase "San Wen Tong" was reversed and thus turned into "TWS". The last letters "Bi" was added with its literal meaning of "writing instruments". Thus combining the two segments, creating TWSBI.
